St John's Cathedral is here for you in all moments of life...

GETTING MARRIED?
CONGRATULATIONS!

St John's Cathedral welcomes you if you would like to be married here, or to have your marriage blessed if the actual ceremony is planned for another place.

You do not have to be a member of the Cathedral or any another church - you are welcome!

If you have been married before, please do contact us, as with the Bishop's permission we can still celebrate this new beginning with you.

If you would like to look at  what the service could be like go to:
http://scotland.anglican.org/index.php?/liturgy/liturgy/marriage_liturgy_2007/

We can offer music with the Cathedral Organ and Choir and if you have favourite pieces of music - just let us know and we will do our best for you.

Of course there are the legal formalities which need to be completed through the Registrar. To find out more go to:http://www.gro-scotland.gov.uk/regscot/getting-married-in-scotland/index.html

To find out more - just contact the Provost through the Contacts Page and we will be in touch.

HAD A BABY OR WANT TO GIVE THANKS FOR YOUR CHILD?
WE WELCOME YOU!

There are more details on the Scottish Episcopal Church website about Baptism/ Christenings but we will be delighted to talk about this wonderful moment within your family and offer you the chance to give thanks for your child and share with them the greatest gift of God's love through baptism.

Baptisms take place during our Sunday morning service.

To find out more - just contact the Provost through the Contacts Page and we will be in touch.

SADLY NOT ALL TIMES OF LIFE ARE AS HAPPY
BUT WE CAN BE HERE FOR YOU AND  OFFER PRAYER AND HELP THROUGH THE HARDER TIMES

Sometimes someone to talk with can help when crisis occur. St John's can offer that space and time for quiet moments alone in the Cathedral or a chance to talk when that feels right.

If you have lost a loved one and would like a Funeral or Memorial Service for them in the Cathedral we can offer and help with this.

Please do be in touch through the Contact Page if we can help and be assured of our prayers and care for you.
